September 2 2010, PublicService.co.uk The scrapping of ID cards has not slackened the UK's ID culture, campaign group NO2ID has said. Commenting on a report published by the Manifesto Club, they agreed that adults are being hassled by ID checks and said that the problem is set to get worse. NO2ID said that legislation has forced retailers into a 'paranoid approach' on selling age restricted goods and said that the ID culture could only be reversed by scrapping clauses in the Licensing Act 2005. Phil Booth, National Coordinator of NO2ID said: "It is no good the coalition abolishing ID cards, if it continues to reinforce a bullying ID culture."
