Wednesday 2 September 2009, Henry Porter's blog, guardian.co.uk No doubt some eyes among Salisbury's residents glided over the following little news story with a sense of reassurance but if you're like me you will find something deeply disturbing about it, especially in the unquestioning attitude of the newspaper. The reporter from the Salisbury Journal tells of an event held for schoolchildren at Salisbury Arts Centre with all the mild compliance of a trainee on the Communist party newspaper in east Berlin.
